Travel information
The two major options for international flights to the PASI conference are to fly through Sao Paulo or through Buenos Aires. If you fly through Sao Paulo you fly into the Iguassu Falls (IGU) airport, which is the Brazilian side. If you fly through Buenos Aires you fly into the Iguazu (IGR) airport, which is on the Argentinean side. The Hotel Cataratas is located in Iguazu, Argentina. If you arrive in Iguassu Falls (Brazil) you will need a taxi ride (about 45 minutes). Also, you may need a Visa to enter Brazil. US passport holders are required to have one.
If you travel through Buenos Aires, international arrivals are at the Eseiza airport, while the flight to Iguazu is from the Aeoroparque airport. You need about one hour to go from one airport to the other. Since travel through Buenos Aires can be expensive due to the portion Buenos Aires-Iguazu, PASI can purchase your return ticket Buenos Aires-Iguazu at a discount price (roughly $200). If you would like us to do that, please send your request by May 27, 2005, to jcerda@intec.unl.edu.ar with the details of your travel plans.
Probably best bets for purchasing tickets are:
