Location

Mar del Plata is located in the Province of Buenos Aires, about 400 km (250 miles) south of Buenos Aires. Mar del Plata is the most important seaside resort in Argentina. During winter months, the city is more quiet but still has plenty to offer, including nice walks along beaches, architecture, museums, excellent restaurants and much more. Additional attractions can be found in the vicinity, including original Argentinian estancias (plantations). The city is safe for tourists and visitors. In addition, the participants will have a chance to arrange their travel plans so to visit other locations in Argentina. This applies particularly to the city of Buenos Aires which is convenient to visit since the main airport which most of the participants will use is just 20 or so miles from Buenos Aires. Some other interesting locations to visit in Argentina are Iguazu, Bariloche, Mendoza, Perito Moreno.
